Matteo and Sonia are both about to undergo heart surgery. United by their passion for the mountains, they strike up a friendship while in the clinic awaiting their respective surgeries and promise each other that, once they’ve recovered, they’ll go on a climbing trip together in Trentino. Despite the fears of Mark, Sonia’s husband—who is worried both about his wife’s health and the possible developments in the close relationship between her and Matteo—the two protagonists keep their promise.
